About the Creator
Kelsey Mora, CCLS, LCPC

Kelsey Mora is a dual certified child life specialist and licensed clinical professional counselor practicing in the Chicagoland area and available nationwide for consultation. Kelsey not only supports children and adolescents individually, but also guides caregivers on how to deliver difficult news to their children and to improve communication and coping as a family.

From her work with children and families both in and out of the hospital, Kelsey has developed various creative methods for delivering specific types of difficult information to children. The first of these methods is The Dot Method, which is an interactive tool designed to educate children about cancer using honest, age-appropriate language and a hands-on approach. The Method Workbooks are intended to be used by children and a trusted adult together. The tools can be used in various settings, from healthcare environments to therapy to home.

Kelsey is available for consultations and presentations related to parenting in the context of illness, grief, and other life stressors. For more information visit, childlifetherapist.com and follow @childifetherapist on Instagram.

When Kelsey is not working or creating, she is enjoying time with her husband and two young children as well as advocating and volunteering for disaster relief and gun violence prevention.
